Watercolor on watercolor paper,
CS3 for the background.

I painted this yesterday night on the Super Full Moon. Has an inkling to paint a moon since 3 days before.
I'm always fascinated by the moon and the way it affects human's emotions :)

Update : This is not a painting of a super full moon.. This is a Blue Moon. Sorry if it's a bit confusing ;)

I really like the intensity of the colors while the stars in the background really help to make the picture more detailed and help to bring out the beauty of the moon.
My only critiques would be:
1.Don't put the moon dead center. It takes away from the overall composition of the picture. To fix this you shoT9uld follow the Rule of Thirds, which is commonly used in photography. You do this by dividing the picture into nine boxes using two horizontal lines and two vertical. You would then place the moon on one of the cross-sections of these lines(which are commonly called power points) this technique would help the overall composition of the picture by a ton.
2. The aura around the moon seems very abrupt. Maybe if it was slightly thicker and more subtle it might not distract the viewer from your beautiful work!

I really hope this helped you, even if it was just a little bit! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> its my first critique ever so i hope i didn't come across harsh
